this is a perfect turn. she is a great swimmer and a beautiful person. however the photography is horrible!!! hehehe |

Very nice. :) I do have others you know. I could have been MUCH meaner. And your eyes are STILL up a little. :) |

This cannot possibly be a LEGAL breaststroke turn! The right arm is fully extended, hand on the wall and the left arm is still bent at the elbow and back! Photography does not usually lie. Perhaps this is a test for the imagination! |

Dawn, Dear, she has touched the wall with her left hand and is in the initial stages of the turn to the left, leading with her left elbow as she should. I would prefer to see that she is not grabbing the wall with her right hand and perhaps her head could be just a tad lower at this point in her turn and some exhaling or was that for the purpose of the photograph? |

Actually you can just see the start of head movement backwards, where she will throw her head like a throw weight to get the body turning as fast as possible. When you come in to the wall hard, the upper hand will often bend back like this photo. Note this could be even faster if she used all of the rules. The left shoulder can be dipped a little, the left hand does not have to touch even with the right hand. By touching the left hand lower underwater the turning process can be just a little bit faster. |

Good eyes, Wayne, she does look a little flat, and there could possibly be a more bend to her right arm so she has some spring to help her head catapult and get her hips to the wall faster. |
|
|
Actually... we were working on her tucking her head, rather than throwing it back, to get her into a tight ball. She's getting better, and working hard on staying small. :) |

A breaststroke turn with that belly is certainly difficult to do!!!:)

Situps are in order then, maybe 10 sets of 20 for starters. |
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
