Gee, that's a nice freestyle! I love the arms position and body rotation.

Is he breaking through ice with his fingers?

Responded Jan 08, 2010 09:09PM

I can say... it was quite cold when we filmed. :)

Keeping his lead hand close to the surface, as if body surfing, very narrow profile. Bow wave is creating pocket to breathe, we looking at open water swimming tech?

Responded Jan 11, 2010 10:16AM

Has to be Open Water swimming. I would say his head is up a little to high for fast pool swimming.

Responded Jan 11, 2010 06:09PM

Strange glove in his hand.

Responded Jan 11, 2010 07:00PM

Aha....I know....he is listening what the water is telling him.......

Responded Jan 12, 2010 06:42AM

what glove?!

Responded Jan 12, 2010 04:38PM

C'mon Sprinter...enlarge the picture and you'll see it on his left hand.

Responded Jan 12, 2010 09:57PM

what sort of glove is it? I just purchased some neoprene ones to swim in 11°C water :-)

Responded Jan 12, 2010 10:06PM

There's no glove. That's his hand.

Responded Jan 13, 2010 07:18AM

Ha ha ha! Glove.

Responded Jan 13, 2010 05:06PM

Ok...then it is a grey and very swelled hand!!!

Responded Jan 13, 2010 05:11PM

Boy Wonderboy!!! You really like to patrol my posts...they must have somethng really good!

Responded Jan 13, 2010 09:55PM

Or, I always have to stop by and correct you because you're wrong 75% of the time. But yes, that other 25% is golden. However, you have represented yourself as an elite swimmer on this board (wrong again), so I would expect you to have a passing grade when it comes to the sport of swimming. If you would like, I am available for private tutoring so that you are better informed in the future. I will speak with my secretary to set this up for you as you wish.

Responded Jan 13, 2010 11:13PM

Well I can't wait. Tell your secretary to arrange things ASAP.

Responded Jan 14, 2010 11:22AM

Wonderboy, you're poaching my lessons. I'll have my people contact your people who will contact Tomas's people and we'll all do a clinic together. :)

Tomas, his hand isn't swollen either, it's really just the simple refraction of the water. I've got 50 other pictures in this sequence, and in some of the others, the hand is very clear... I just picked this one for the head position to see what people would say. Rednicolas caught it very quickly.

My dad also sees the glove .......But you know him.........
